Even as a seasoned fan of horse racing, I found Julie Krone's story to be interesting, intimate and filled with informative stories. I remember my dad, who introduced me to thoroughbred racing at my ripe old age of six saying "that Julie Krone can ride" as he would wait in line at the park mutual window. I live in SW Michigan, close to where Julie was raised so the combination of racing, memories of watching her race and living where she was raised made me want to know more about her. Really enjoyed the story. Thanks, Julie I hope you are well and those healed broken bones do not creak too loudly. Great athlete that fought off injuries and made it big in a male dominated industry.
