This book was amazing and I would recommend it to everyone. When I first began reading it, I was very confused by the family relations but once I got past that, the book was extremely intriguing and I did not want to put it down. The way it explains the normal, day-to-day life of Salvadoran people during the Civil War in the span of one day was great. It includes the perspectives of other people as well which allowed the reader to get a full understanding of the lives everyone was living at the time. It involved a lot of symbolism with eyes and with the birds that were always around which was great to uncover thought your journey reading the book. Again, I really enjoyed the book and would recommend it. It is a great read!!
