I do not like the recorded sound of Ron Carter’s bass on this recording. It sounds like they mic’d his amp rather than his bass. If it weren’t for that, I would give it 5 stars. They strike a good balance between Kuhn’s originals and standards; the playing is sensitive, symbiotic.
