Very readable. Lots of names to keep straight so some charts could have been helpful. Galileo appears to me to be the Dr Richard Feynman of his time, or, was Richard Feynman the Galileo of our time. I've read lots of books on Galileo and this is by far, the most approachable biography of Galileo. From Galileo, I then read Reston's "Dogs of God: Columbus, the Inquisition, and the Defeat of the Moors" and "Defenders of the Faith". A trio of books well worth reading.
